Tricks of the Trade: Google Power Searching
At this week's session of LLL, I became a participant as Lori led the hands-on session "Tricks of the Trade" her trade as library director, that is. Despite the fact that students in most of my classes are required to learn basics of web and deep web searching, I was very engaged in Google power searching and amazed by some of the tricks and tips she shared with us. For example, let's say I want to know who is linking to my blog (if anyone!) All I do is type search link:http://ldriskelthoughts.blogspot.com/ in the search field and I will be presented with a list of websites on the internet that link to my blog. (Oops, none!)
