Collaborating? Create a Voicethread

If you haven't used Voicethread, you may want to consider it as a way to engage your students in collaborative activity OR to share ideas, photos, information with anyone while providing them an opportunity to give you feedback and make comments. I made this demo version in about 10 minutes, feel free to comment:

Just go to voicethread.com, create an account, and view some tutorials to get started. Or if you prefer to learn all about a tool before you use it, this is a very long and in depth tutorial shared by a colleague of mine:

(This is fairly long, plan at least 1/2 hour to watch and practice)

Optimizing Images for Web and Print

I was asked how to optimize images today, I have been doing it for so long that I had to think where to begin but it turned out this person has Adobe Photoshop so that was a no brainer. After we met and walked through various ways to optmize depending on the final product media, I shared the webbild.com free image optimzer so he could have a tool for on the fly. When I got back to my office, I spent some time on the web looking for tutorials and came across this excellent video, short but sweet and a good reminder for me
